タフな質感のメランジコットンを使用した、VガゼットTシャツ。
首元に配されたVガゼットは、1930年代に開発されたスウェットシャツに採用されていたディテールです。
当時はリブの伸びを防ぎ、汗止めの役割を果たしていたもので、その後は機能的進化とともに姿を消しましたが、今もなお、ヴィンテージらしい空気感を一瞬で生み出せるパーツとして機能しています。
本作では、そのクラシックな佇まいを活かしつつ、背面に別布を縫い付け、ステンシルプリントを配置。
この手のヴィンテージ由来のTシャツは無地が多く、デザインを加えると雰囲気を壊しがちですが、“ラフなステンシル”と“乾いたメランジ地”の相性を突いたデザインにより、自然な一体感のある仕上がりになっています。
